"Playback Theatre has helped CUB on a number of occasions and in a variety of circumstances but there is a common thread to the magic of their work....the ability to understand what is not said, and then reflect those inner thoughts and emotions back to the group in a positive and uplifting way.

Our initial work with the team involved our senior leadership development program where participants reflected on their own learnings through the use of stories, acting and music. The sessions were highly successful in helping our people really understand the emotions contained in these very personal stories. We have also recently asked Playback Theatre to help us celebrate a major milestone in our company's history by working with a number of people to reflect on the past and to envision the future.

The ability of the team to engage, inspire and really help the group learn about the strength of their emotions, and the positive impact this has on others in the organisation, is the major reason why we see Playback Theatre as a key part of our development, now and in the future."

"I was moved to tears by the Playback session this morning, having forgotten how exciting education can be when handled with creativity and dynamism, and coaxing the real information straight from the students."

"Your support by attending the Buloke Youth Health Expo and providing a very enlightening interactive performance was very much appreciated and we would be pleased to recommend The Melbourne Playback Theatre Company to providing other similar performances to young people."

"Thank you for your spectacular presentation at our TRIP De Brief Day last Thursday. You received very high 'marks' in the TRIPpers evaluation and I believe they recognized your groups integrity, sense of purpose, enthusiasm, dedication and insightfulness form the TRIPpers stories. Your stories helped to put our fears into our particular context and this helped us to rationalize our feelings. I have recommended you to so many people since your Playback morning with us. Please pass on to your group our thanks again for your very 'real' presentation which the TRIPpers and I enjoyed immensely."

"We would like to extend our sincere appreciation and congratulations to you for your exceptional performance at our recent Personal Support Programme National Conference in Melbourne. Your performance accomplished exactly what we wanted, you got people involved and made it fun. Precision in content and form, combined with humour, blended into a marvelous cocktail enjoyed by all. Conference feedback indicates nothing but praise for your performance."

"Since 1998 Australian Volunteers International has been pleased to include a performance session by Melbourne Playback Theatre in its pre-departure briefing program for departing volunteers. The group has provided a lively yet thoughtful introduction to our briefing programs. Their theatre is created through a unique collaboration between performers and the audience and is a forum for individual and group reflections and concerns. They consistently manage to break the ice amongst an often diverse audience meeting for the first time, without being too confronting. Australian Volunteers International is delighted to work together with Melbourne Playback Theatre and has gone on to invite the company to be involved in staff development activities."
